Problem-Internet Connection

I live in a rual area and I'm having problems connecting to the internet. I have one connection I see is...
ASUS-2.4Ghz...I don't know if my settings are messed up or maybe I have to set up a VPN? I checked out if I had a connection and the app. said "No" internet connection. Plus my Metroweb browser for some odd reason was force stopped. Can someone please help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no internet connection how could you think of a VPN ? VPN has nothing to do with resolving issues of internet connection. It is only a security tool to bypass geo-restrictions, evade censorship, protect from spying eyes and makes your connection secure. All these can be availed if you have internet first and secondly you have got a VPN connected LOL! I

For an internet connection, you need to be within range of a wifi router or a cellular tower.
