Problem: Opening wikipedia in Internet app redirects to Google App Store

Each time I attempt to open Wikipedia(or any other site that has an official app on the app store, such as Imgur or Genius(the music lyric site) it redirects me directly to the app store to go download whatever garbage they have there. This has only been happening for about a day now on both my S4 and Note 3 and it is getting extremely annoying. Is there any fixes to this?
ETA:
If I click and hold down on the link to said site, and proceed to manually click "Open" or "Open in new tab" it will open normally. However, the problem described above continues to happen if I don't do this and just click on it directly, which is extremely inconvenient. This is for the default internet application that comes pre-installed with the phone. Also, non of the phones are jail-broken or modified in anyway.

Exactly the same has been happening to me today on my s6. Only happens in the samsung internet app. Links are working normally in chrome.

Any ideas?

I use the Wiki app exhaustively. No issues.

Here's a solution. I have never had this issue, so I can't test this, but it seemed to work for the OP.
