Problem Updating my HTC one due to region lock

I have an HTC one UK version, it's unlocked but i think the carrier is Vodafone

So, i tried updating the software but it gave a warning that the update that i downloaded was for a different region
The update that i downloaded was 1.29.161.7, but the release for the UK version of the Phone was 1.29.401.1

How could i update the software?
And how could i update to Android 4.2

You're not in the wrong section, but you'll get better help in the section specific to the One. This is for the whole series from last year, like the X, S, V, VX, XT, XC, XL, SV, etc.
