Okay, the Galaxy J2 Prime has only 8GB of memory and I have an EVO+ 64GB card to remedy that. After I disabled all the bloatware I can, only space left was about 2.2GB. Only thing is after making the SD card into adoptable storage using ADB i got this.

Any idea how to fix this?

I'm wondering if I should try to reset to factory settings.

I tried installing a rather big game that takes up more than 2GB. The phone won't let me stating that I don't have enough memory left. Which is a funny thing because when I use ASUS File Manager, it shows i have more than 60GB available.

#1 : It's normal. It indicates that you've success enabling adoptable storage.

#2 : If you download & install from the Play Store, it uses the internal storage. Try download from outside source i.e Apkpure
