Problem with function of Apps Launcher page

Hello there.
My 9er, from the moment it got the Marshmallow update, had an issue with the Apps Launch page.
Even though the upper row is supposed to consist of the apps icons that one uses most frequently, this does not happen.
The apps icons remain mostly unchanged.

Any ideas anyone?

Do you have that feature turned off? Open Google Now, swipe in from the left, tap Settings, and make sure App Suggestions is turned on.

Yep. App suggestions are on. Any other ideas anyone?

Oh wait--you're saying that you do have the top row of app suggestions, but that they never change, correct? I thought you were saying that the top row wasn't even appearing.
