Problem with gmail download.

Placed this here as there does not appear to be a forum for the milestone or, more specifically, the XT720. (Why not?)

Every time I recieve 3gp files from gmail there is no option to download. If I open gmail from the browser it allows me to download, but then says the file format is invalid. Makes no sense as the videos I record on my phone are 3gp files. I have a rooted Motorola milestone XT720 running 2.1 on Wind mobility in Canada. Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall your Gmail app.

Used uninstaller for root to remove the app and make an apk of the install since it doesn't seem to be in the market. Reinstalled the app and it's doing the same thing. It shows the attachment with a paperclip, but there is no option to download or open. I've tried touching it, long press, and the menu button. No dice.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this only an issue with the XT720? What app is everyone else using for gmail?

If anyone else has this problem, just get K-9 instead. Much better than gmail.
