problem with Google account

So just picked up the S5 and trying to get my Google account up on the device. I get past the email and password setup page and get to the authenticating page where it says "Type the text you see here:" and there is no text to copy. Help!!! Can't do anything right now because I can't get the Google account up and running. Thoughts? Tried turning power off so far, didn't work. Thoughts?

maybe try logging out/in via the web to 'verify' your Google account. Perhaps then it won't prompt you for secondary verification.

I know it's kind of late. But I just had this problem and figured it out.

On the sign in screen, click the menu button and hit "browser sign-in." Sign in, give permission to the device, then hit menu and click "exit browser sign-in." Then sign in again on the device and it shouldn't Authenticate.

Hi I have the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S4 about this: what can you do when you get a message on your samsung galaxy s4 after you sign into your google account and it says authenticating and says type the text you see here, but you don't see the text?
