problem with YouTube player

So my YouTube app isn't playing properly. Videos are darkened, and what appears to be the cast icon for chromecast (which I don't have) is over to of everything. Otherwise, controls work as expected. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

*edit* I force closed YouTube and it fixed the problem. Not sure how it happened in the first place though.

Having this issue and don't know how to fix it. Tried it removing the app and installing it again.
Using CyanogenMod 10.2 20131028. I see other people are having the same issues but with stock ROM. :/
