So after my folks got the update I've noticed their phones are a bit sluggish and sense soft reboots a lot, which apparently is not a problem only here, and sometimes the wifi giving the error message "unable to scan". So what, if any, problems are you guys having???

There's another update getting pushed? Sorry I don't really follow HTC shift news that closely lol

Finally!!!! Hope this works as I was about to trade in my Shift for another model.

Update: Doesn't fix the sense restart problem. Very unhappy here.

I installed the latest update this morning, and I've found that it also seems to have fixed the problem of the Sense rebooting, even with Fast Boot enabled. I never had a problem sending or receiving MMS, so I can only guess that those who did have seen that problem fixed too. I strongly suggest installing this new update ASAP. The only problem I had was that my screen widgets were gone after the update. I reinstalled them easily, restarted, and NO PROBLEMS. My Shift also seems to run faster and smoother. DO IT! If the Sense rebooting comes back, I'll let you know. (fingers crossed)

Try this: Go to the Market, look around, maybe update a few apps. Then upon exit sense will restart every time.

I'll give it a try. I actually uninstalled two apps after the update, which also used to trigger the mini-reboot, and it didn't. But I'll also try an update later.

You're right. I downloaded several updates this morning and the Sense rebooting problem is still there. Bummer. This problem has existed far too long and HTC needs to get on the right page and fix this ASAP.

I've found that the Sense reboot only occurs after downloading/uninstalling apps that could affect Sense functions. And having Fast Boot enabled or disabled doesn't make a difference. Is anyone else finding this to be the case? Although annoying, perhaps this is what's supposed to happen. If this is the case, you would think that with all the complaints either HTC or Sprint should notify us. Intentional or not, this is a pain in the ass and needs to be addressed and fixed, if possible.

My girlfriend has this phone and she says it sometimes takes 3 or 4 time to try to call someone in order for the call to go through. Also, it restarts often and a notification pops up saying that she is roaming when we are in a strong 3g area. Come on HTC.

Strange. I just downloaded several application updates and the Sense did not reboot. Strange. Maybe it's just tired.

I also have this problem with Sense frequently rebooting. I notice it most when exiting the Firefox browser. I do notice it after leaving the marketplace as described as well. Hopefully there will be an update to this soon. I replaced my SD card thinking maybe I had a corrupt card, but that did not help at all.

I wonder if this is a memory management problem. I notice that if I reboot the phone but turning it completely off then back on, the problem goes away for a short time. Once I have opened a few apps, the problem returns.

I too hope there will be an update soon to address this problem as it is reallly annoying.
