So I thought I was losing my mind when I noticed that hitting the little down arrow to minimize GBoard sometimes didn't work. Apparently this is an issue affecting a lot of folks and gained some attention:

Some owners have noticed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will sometimes not register corner screen taps, like when trying to close Gboard...

Minimizing the keyboard is the only scenario where this seems to affect my usage but I can see how this could be very annoying in certain cases. Hopefully Google gets this one fixed soon.

Apparently swiping still works, so I've gotten used to swiping down on the keyboard minimize arrow and that has worked 100% of the time for me.

I've got the same thing going on.
I'll have to remember to swipe until it's addressed.

And mileage may vary, I too have a pixel 9 Pro XL and the down arrow works perfectly on gboard. So go figure.

That is so weird! Although, sometimes it works without issues for me too. But other times I can tap it like six times and nothing happens ...
