Problems After Updating To Kit Kat

Ever since I updated to Kit Kat (I updated using APK) I have been having issues with Gmail syncing. Sometimes it will update with new emails but most of the time I have to manually drag down to check for mail (and it usually says "no connection" the first time I do it) and then the second time it will show all my new emails. Other times it gives me a push notification of new email and it will be 10 emails, some of them hours old.

Also is anyone else having issues with the GPS since the update, mine is having a lot of problems locating.

Welcome to the forums.
You can try clearing cache for Gmail in Settings>Apps. Or better yet, clearing the system cache in recovery.

Thanks, I did try clearing the cache from the Gmail app but had no luck. What will clearing the system cache result in?

Sometimes there is data conflicts between ROM versions. This can lead to app malfunctions.

Nobody is having issues with the GPS?

I pushed the update via ADB the first night it was out and I've had no problems so far (except for Pulse acting funny, but that's app-specific). GPS works fine.
