I have found a couple problems with the Galaxy Tab 2 and have found a way to work around these problems. I have a NOTE app that I installed and when I went to copy the file containing the notes I had already accumulated I could not find the NOTES sub directory.
The tab 2 installs all programs in the ROOT directory. I haven't found a way to open the root directory!
I went to the NOTES program and wrote a test note, Then I backed up the test note and it put it on the SD card. I copied my other notes to this sub directory on the SD card and did a RESTORE from the NOTES program and there is all of my notes!
I use BOAT BROWSER and had the same problem. The browser is installed in the root directory and no access! I did a backup on my BOOKMARKS with the BOAT browser and and it made a sub-directory on the SD card. I copied my bookmarks from MY phone to this directory and then did a Restore from the BOAT browser clicking on the newest file and all of my bookmarks are on my Tab.
This saved me a whole bunch of typing!
