Problems Viewing Music on SD Card

well i relized that my music i loaded on my sd card some times works and some times does not. before i got my inc. i backed up my sd card from my bb to my mac and erased it after i made a copy of the files. when my inc got here i installed my card and still it didnt read the card. i went into settings and ejected the sd card then reinstalled and formatted it, after i did that the phone saw the sd card. now i plugged in my inc to my mac and it saw the sd card so i just dragged and dropped all my file from my back up of the card i made on my mac. all day yesterday it was working but today i dont know why it wont read all the files on my card. any ideas any one?

Could it be that some of the music has DRM on it? I had that issue with my BB Storm 1, but I haven't had tried loading music on my Android device. (Still waiting on my Incredible).

Could be but all my music showed up on my Moto Droid

i re formatted it and dragged every thing back in and now its staring to see all the music. i guess it needed to be formatted again or something. the only other thing i can think of is some of the music folders had some files that i couldnt open so i assume they were files from my bb to convert it to work for the os.

you may have a corrupt file on the card that wasn't picked up on the older devices.

any way to sync iTunes playlists to your SD card? I downloaded doubletwist which will sync it to device memory but I want it on my SD card

Try downloading astro from the market then search you sdcard using astro to locate your music. And from there select a song and play it, you music player then should find all that music on your sdcard.

ok now im getting pissed off. i got home from work and took a nap i woke up and i got a text message, well earlier today i downloaded a app called tone picker so i could assign a ring tone to my mms/sms well its not working but has been working all day. i try to see what the problems is and it says cant find sd card. i go to my music player and it says the same crap. what the hell is wrong with the phone or the sd card. the card worked fine in my storm.

I think you need to delete everything on your SD card since most of your music came from a Blackberry Folder on the SD CARD so the ICREDiBLE might have trouble reading it since the music was formatted in a different operating system (Blackberry). I would delete everything and REFORMAT the card. Then Re-add all the music back onto the card.


or.... just buy a brand new fresh sd card

im not sure if its the card now cause this morning i reseted the phone by powering it down then when i put it back on it found all my music. im not sure now if its the phone or the card now.
