Problems with 3G data? Don't hard reset, read this first!

Getiing 1X all day in fringe areas(savannah, bluffton-sc). Read this forum post. Tried the ##78 adjustment. It showed 3g for a minute.....then nothing. No 3g, no 1x....no data whatsoever. Went back into Settings and set it back and now just gettinv 1x again. Anyone else.

I think the best bet to completely circumvent this whole 3G-SVDO/4G issue is to do both tweaks. That's what I did and have perfectly stable 3G. Both the 4636 (i.e. Phone Info turn off 4G) and the 778 (Enable RevA and disable eHRPD). This makes it act exactly like all the other 3G/EVDO phones on VZW.

Thanks SO MUCH for this info...... it's a bit ridiculous that after haggling with tech support over this issue, & being told there is "NO CURRENT OUTAGES" in my area, so no viable solution to my problems with my TB that I have to get the answers needed from a forum, versus the actual company themselves...... VERY GRATEFUL I stumbled upon this forum & you shared the info with us!! THANKS AGAIN!!

Any updates on this? My 3G was working just fine with LTE on/off application installed, was using CDMA auto PRL option, no 3G allday, but when i go into ##778# and manually disable eHRPD, 3G comes back up. 4G is working just fine.

didn't worked for me, used application called "Data Connection Fix" from google play, it restarts mobile data when it stops working, worked perfectly in my case.
