problems with chomp sms

ok so i recently downloaded and have been using chomp sms on my htc inspire 4g. i got really bored with the stock messenger but now at random times i stop receiving text and mms. i can send messages but receiving is the problem, any idea what it might be? or any way to fix it? ur help would be appreciated cause i really dont want to go back to the default messenger

I am experiencing the same issues on mine. It is almost routine for it to stop after receiving a MMS but that is not always the cause. Sometimes it will stop entirely for no apparent reason.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Wanted to add that I am also using ChompSMS but when the issue arises, I have checked and tested using the default texting app and the issue is still present. I'm not sure if this is a Gingerbread issue, a ChompSMS issues or a Gingerbread + ChompSMS issue as I did not have this problem before upgrading to gingerbread. Additionally, this HTC Inspire is a replacement phone; my previous HTC Inspire was doing the same thing.
