Problems with MMS sending?

I tried to download a pic straight from google images and it saved as a .png and I tried to sdnd it it gave me an "unsupported media type" but when researched it I read droids should send .png's no problem. I am BRAND new to droids, I have been using iphones for years, so I would imagine there is a simple fix.

I can send mms but not receive mms. Have a lye attached some card through straight talk.. anyone have the same problems with their mini s4?
