Problems with OTA update please help!

I rooted my phone with Revolutionary yesterday and my phone was great....today my phone told me it had a OTA so I agree and downloaded it..but when it try to install it my phone stops in the middle of the install and freezes with the little android guy with the triangle above his head......so I pulled the battery and restarted my phone..but now my phone keeps resetting and trying to install the update and keeps getting stuck.

how do I get it from resetting itself.

First of all, you shouldn't have downloaded the update. Now if you look at like 10 other threads this has been addressed multiple times. But because you asked you will have to do a factory reset then flash the 2.11.605.5 RUU first, then root with revolutionary.

Or you can actually boot into recovery, then wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, then flash a rom. Those are pretty much youre two options.

Sorry I'm new with rooting the thunderbolt....I came from rooting my samsung fascinate and it's soooo different...I had odin to help me with problems like this....sorry again to bother you guys....how do I boot into recovery?

Turn the phone off. Hold the power button and volume down button until you get into hboot. Then choose recovery. But first you need to find a ROM and download it, then put it in your SD Card.

I never changed the rom I just rooted without changing the rom.

I downloaded this kind of file ... PG05IMG...this is what I put on the sd card right?

1. download this on your pc http://www.androidfilehost.com/main...ty-tb-runnymede-r186-signed-121611_005356.zip

2. plug your phone boot into hboot ( hold down vol down and power button until you have reached hboot) if it boots normal take of the battery then put it back in retry.

3. let hboot seat for 10 sec. then hit vol down to highlight recovery and hit power on it to select it

4. In recovery (move with the vol buttons and selct with power) select mounts/storage

5. then select mount usb storage (last bottom option)

6. your pc should now read your sdcard. drag the rom into your sdcard

7.in recovery select unmount

8. now select go back

9. now wipe factory reset when thats done wipe also partition

10. when you wiped both ^ select advanced and wipe dalvik

11. select go back

12. select install zip from sdcard

13. select choose from sdcard

14. hit vol up and select the rom file then hit yes

15. when its done go back and hit reboot system

I am not saying that no one else knows what they are talking about. I know that there are plenty of people out there that know a lot too. I am just saying that he was the first to help ME when I needed help and I will always use him if I need help.

And by the way, the reason I would recommend him IS BECAUSE HE OFFERS THOSE SERVICES. He takes his personal time to sit down with you and walk you through things. That's why he is the best! Sure people might say a few things on the thread and such but they are nothing compared to someone like UPSTREAMMIAMI who will actually help you till the problem is fixed. And there are other people like him out there, too. But I guess you're not one.

I was like dame I'm gonna have to set up my phone all over again but maaaaaaaaan when I saw the rom you gave me, it is freaking amazing!!! this forum rocks!! and pingplayer thank you for looking out also!!!
