Problems with texting automatic features

Re: Samsung Note8, Messaging Plus, on Verizon. I get these gray boxes with some words. I was also getting popup emojis for some words that made them encapsuled and hard to edit (I may have fixed). Also input may suddenly stop at the end of line. - I am hopeful of this forum but I do see a lot of cluttering ads and confusing screens.

VZW Messages+ app? Go into Settings -> Conversations and turn off Smart Emojis.
