problems with texting

sooo when i text with my new gs3 it will send my texts most of the time but alot of the time i get peoplei text asking me why my text they got was in chinese or had spaces between every letter (l i k e t h i s) or @ between every letter or the message will just be blank. is this a phone issue or an issue between carriers?

Sounds like your using characters the other phone can't register....
