Problems with the S4 and your car bluetooth?

My wife will be returning an S4 tomorrow, as it is not compatible with her 2014 Jetta. Everyone I called, Samsung, AT&T, and unfortunately my VW dealer will not get back with me, all place the blame on each other.

My wife bought the S4 and we called AT&T, Samsung etc... and they kept passing the buck back to each other and she finally returned it, much to the dismay of the AT&T rep. Her IT guy at her job did some research about an APP that might fix it, or an update from AT&T that fixes it for some.
Any ideas will be helpful, and we may go back and get the phone if we feel safe with a FIX for it??
Her issue is not pairing, it would pair, but she couldn't use her speed dial on her 2014 Jetta touchscreen, and sending and recieving calls worked sometimes, and not sometimes.

Mine sometimes works when I have Google voice open, but recently it won't work at all. How do you manually initiate transfer?

I am having EXACTLY the same problem with my new Samsung Galaxy S4 and my Honda CR-V. Up until the upgrade from S2 to S4, I had no problems with the Bluetooth pairing. Now, it pairs, but the phone dial on the car screen and the speed dial hang up immediately. If I use the phone to make the call, it does to the bluetooth, and the bluetooth shows the correct number I attempted to call, and the call goes through. However, it immediately hangs up if I make the call using the Car's Speed Dial or the phone history or the phone directory.

Anybody have a fix?
I tried deleting the phone and re-connecting it and re-programming the speed dials and it still didn't work. Really upset about this... and getting ready to return the phone.

There is a setting under SETTINGS, Bluetooth, that allows you to check auto transfer to bluetooth if call is initiated on phone. Look for that....

I have a 2013 Hyundai Accent and the IPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 have the same issues with the contacts not syncing

I have a 2014 Genesis. My phone sporadically works with the blue tooth, but it somehow jams up the phone where it connects to the person I am calling, but I hear nothing and on their end they hear nothing as well. Same happens on incoming calls. I wound up having to re-boot the phone and shut off blue tooth in order to be able to use the phone. Did all the usual stuff with Verizon, including replacing the phone, but it is not the phone.

And my car dealer says to check with Samsung. so there I am around and around but no fix!
I have a Samsung S3 and a 2015 Nisan Altima. Anyone here found a fix. My car recognizes numbers but not any names from my phone book. It says name not recognized or suggests every other name but the one I want or it just dials any random number.
The service techy had no problems with his IPhone on my car.

Anyone here found a fix for this?
