Problems with the update?

So I got my update this morning and installed with no problems. Everything seemed fine until I got to work. I use WiFi while I'm working and have for a couple years with two different phones. So I walk in and go from 4g, to 3g, to WiFi, to no data connection at all. The WiFi shows in the task bar that it's on, but no bars at all. I switch to airplane mode and back, and the same thing happens. WiFi for a few minutes, then I wake up the phone to send an email and no bars at all on WiFi, and no data connection from outside. I've tried selecting 3g only and the same thing happens. I don't even know I've lost all connections unless I look. So is anyone else having any problems?

I installed the update late last night. Like you, I also use WIFI at work during the day. But I have had no issues with data loss today after my update. It switched from 3G to WIFI with no problem. I usually change my WIFI sleep to NEVER once I get into work just to keep it from switching when the phone is in sleep.

Have you noticed any negative impact to battery life when changing the wifi sleep policy to "never" from its default of "never when plugged in"? FWIW, I've not had any issues with wifi connectivity after the patch - I'm on wifi at home and LTE when I'm out and about.

Switched to wifi at work to test it myself. Haven't had any data drop issues yet.

Not really... but I am pretty anal about my settings...lol I switch it to sleep "Never" when i get into work and change it to sleep "when screen turns off" when i get in the car to head out plus I keep the toggle on one of my screens and turn WIFI off when i am en route. With all that said, I can leave the house in the AM...'bout 7 with a full charge and when i get back to the house...'bout 1930 i usually have somewhere around 50 percent left on the battery. I don't consider myself a heavy user... the most i do with the phone during the work day is listen to Google music through some powered speakers in the lab and standard email and a little web surfing. And i don't have a charger at work to use. Long answer i know...;)

Great info! Thanks much for the reply. I'm going to look for a "smart actions" clone for the BIONIC so I can automate what you're doing manually right now. Again, thanks for the info!

Ditto. I'm in the same boat. After the update, my data is always transitioning smoothly and I haven't had data problems. I work 9 hours a day and have 50% left unless I'm on the phone pretty heavily.
