Problems with using the cable to transfer from pre existing phone...

I used the cable in the box to transfer everything from my 6P to my new pixel and for the first couple of days I had no issues, then the names in my "dialer" app started losing letters. So Leslie became Le l e. The problem persisted on every screen in the Dialer. I contacted support and the tech said it appeared that not everything fully transfered and to do a factory reset on the new pixel. That did the job!!!

The reason I am posting this is because there seem to be a lot of issues people our having after using the cable to move from their previous phone and a factory reset is fixing those issues.

So is there an issue with the cable and that transfer process, how many people are having issues?

I have two XL's, used the cable on both.

No issues at all, by far the best experience I have ever had changing phones
