processor speed

Will the optimistic v support 864mhz or am I just being teased?

All processors wether in a phone,pc gaming console, are different when it comes to clock speeds, some V owners have stated they can achieve 864 while others say,768 is all they can get, remember by cranking the CPU to it's max effects, the lifespan of the chip, and battery.

I can get 864 without much issue. Phone reboots if I try to open the camera though. Completely stable at 844.

I can boot at over 800, but I'm only stable at 787 max.

As previously posted, each cpu is different. They are rated at 600, but most can go higher, but not all go as high as you wish. Find what you can boot at, then back down two levels for pretty much a guarantee of no cpu related crashes.

Procedure for finding best clock speed.

  1. Install SetCPU (you can get it for free from XDA)
  2. Make sure "set at boot" is unchecked.
  3. Increase the max clock speed one increment.
  4. Go into the "info" tab.
  5. Select short bench and then long bench.
  6. If nothing crashes, go back and increase the clock one more increment.
  7. Repeat 3-6 until your phone crashes or starts to get buggy.
  8. Once that happens, decrease the max clock speed one increment.
  9. Go back to the "info" tab. Run the stress test for 10-30 mins.
  10. At no point should your phone freeze, reboot, or do anything strange.
  11. If it does, decrease the max clock speed one more increment, and repeat the stress test.
  12. Once you are sure that your phone is stable, you can use the max clock speed at boot.

My old one could go 864 stable just fine, but then it had some weird problems with text messages and I replaced it, now this ones max stable is 806 :/

Me and my wife each have OVs mine does 806 fine but freezes up with NESoid at 844. My wifes can only do 787 without issues but we keep it at 768.
