Proclip Holder for Incredible

I don't see the holder/cradle for the INcredible on the proclip site. I'm guessing it is not listed because it's on pre-order only?

I will likely end up purchasing it and an extension plate for my current Ipod proclip mount.

Anyone have pictures of the dock in place?

I'm interested in the built in 2 amp charger but I'm hoping to upgrade to a bigger battery soon too. Is there any room to give?

When I called them they said the Holder for the Incredible is engineered to 2/1000th of an inch. So if your phone is any larger it won't work, including having a 1mm case on it.

Hmm, that really makes me wonder if I want it then.

How's the experience with the generic small device holder? With that I should be able to get a case and extended battery right?

Not the extended battery. Just the case. Go to their website and give them a call, they are super friendly and the guys that answer are deeply vested in various projects. They can give you an answer for sure.

Qazme is dead on. I just installed the Proclip charging holder for my DINC and the device fits in it TIGHT. The first time you put it in the dock it seems like it may not fit. There is no way a larger batt or the slimmest case available would fit. On another note, if you are going to put one of these charging holders in your car make sure to order the one with the cigarette lighter plug unless you're an automotive DIY'r like I am. As requested, here a few pics of the Proclip without the DINC. This is post #1 for me - great resource for DINC noobs.

Ok that's it.....I'm ordering mine....you bent my arm enough! (I just don't like the idea of taking the case on and off but what the heck it's only two pieces. It may show me I don't really want the case to begin with. Too bad they don't have a sale going on, thanks for posting those pics too I was worried about how it fit.

Can you get us some more pics with the phone in it and it swiveled to horizontal? I've always loved proclip, so jealous. ;)

Very nice. I was sold on it already but was going to wait till after my vacation to order it so I have time to install it. But I'm honestly thinking or ordering it and going a head and doing it. Still have that case vs. holder dilemma going on.

I can't afford the proclip right now with just getting back to work but it looks like a good system. What I did was go to the mall and buy a second belt clip for my body glove case (which one of the generic vendors just happened to have for $5) and then to Home depot for some double sided tape. I mounted it in the same location on my F150 that the Proclip does and I have instant dash mount. The nice thing is the body glove holder kind of ratches when you turn it so I can use it horizontal too. Works perfectly for navigation and phone.

Forgive the resurrection of this post by the OP but I got a PM from another member asking a question that I should have answered in my review. I do have a screen protector on my DInc and the Proclip mount does not lift the edges when I slide it in and out of the mount. Since my OP I put a Proclip system for the original Droid in my daughter's '07 Civic Coupe and she loves it.

Man I can't see how they justify the $20 extra charge for the straight line charger. You're looking at about $120 for mount and holder after shipping.
Arkon has in dash mounting brackets that are vehicle specific and include a holder for $50: http://www.arkon.com/Vehicle_Specific_Phone_Mounts.php

That bundle includes the SlimGrip holder, which will fit the DInc naked, but if you have a case, ask for the Mega Grip holder. I asked the Arkon guy and he said they'd swap the holders at no charge. Here's the Mega Grip holder with the Dinc:

I ordered the ProClip but just realized after reading this thread that it will not fit if one has the Sedio 3500mah battery....what a bummter!

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can mount the Droid Incredible to have hands free GPS and not on the windshield?
