"Profile pictures" folder won't delete?

When I open the photo gallery on my phone there is a folder called "Profile pictures". I have tried time and time again to delete it but to no avail. It just re-appears when I leave and come back to the picture gallery. I can't locate it or anything related to it on the file browser. I'm lost, anyone have an idea?
