Project Nova, a Google MVNO

That would make Google a Sprint and T-Mobile MVNO. They would pick the worst 2 out of 4. (Or, being fair, I should word it as the cheapest 2 out of 4.)

I don't think its a bad idea. It will be interesting to see what they do with this.

From an AOSP M8

I don't consider T-Mobile to be one of the worst of the four. I rank them Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and then obviously Sprint. Debatable except for Sprint.

What I am curious about is Sprint and T-Mo use 2 different technologies. How would the MVNO work?

I would wager that it will be data only via LTE. With voice service through Google Voice.

But in any case, I am frequently at places where Sprint and Tmobile have poor service so I can't use them. In the past year I've been extremely satisfied with AT&T.

I've been contemplating going the data (LTE) and WiFi (802.11ac/ad) only route by using Google Voice, Hangouts and Dialer on a 7"-8" tablet. Now it appears Google might be driving towards just that. Will be interesting to see how Nova, Fiber, Loon, 3.5GHz, along with Nexus/Silver/Google Play Edition/Ara all play into this.
