Proper fast charging car charger?

I have a car charger now but I'm concerned that it may "overcharge" my phone and start damaging my battery. I travel for a living so this is a must have.

i use the Verizon one, first one I got with my Droid Turbo, and then I got a new one with the Verizon Samsung pre-order charging bundle

I don't have Verizon but I wonder if AT&T has some equivalent.

the Verizon one will work with the AT&T phone, it will just say "Verizon" on it

I got this one about a month ago and works great!
So great, that a week after I got it, I bought 2 more and gave them to my sister for her GS6 and to my brother for his LG G4.
They say it's awesome.

does this charger give you a "Fast Charge" notification like the oem charger?

Samsung has a fast-charge car charger, which you can buy with or without the USB cord (or with two cords) on Amazon.

Aukey have excellent quick charge 3.0 car chargers. They charge at 2.0 speeds as the s7 edge doesn't support 3.0 but they are very quick and the fast charging notification comes up.
