I bought my note 2 yesterday (Yay) and I purchased a 64gb micro sd card from ebay. The make was samsung, but the thing is, I got curious and went to their official shop to see if the card I bought was legitimate. It didnt show up and now I feel shady, no one onthe forum has bought it either to my knowledge and if anyone can tell me more about this then it would be most helpful. The seller was a trusted ebayer.

I brought the same 64 gig card for $29.00 from a well known electronic store in the Los Angeles area it's on the up and up

If you can't find the product code on the Samsung website, through the search function even, then it's a Chinese knockoff. Especially for $29, unless it's sdhc and not sdxc. Xc is more expensive(higher speed rates)

Samsung only makes up to a 32gb card. So it's a knockoff. I think pny and scandisk are the only companies that make a 64gb card. But scandisk probably uses Samsung chips

That looks fake.

I highly doubt Samsung would make a labeling mistake like that.

SDHC refers to the capacity of a card & is only capable of up to 32 GB.

A 64 GB card would have to be SDXC, which starts at 64 GB & is actually capable of going up to 2 TB (can't wait to see those).

Not only that, the read/write speeds don't sound right for a class 10 card.

I am weary of buying from eBay, unless it is from a major store like buy. Com. Lots of fakes out there, particularly sd cards, and other stuff that is easy to fake. Even from high rated sellers since most don't know the difference, and the ones that do, the seller usually just refunds the money.

You can test the card as well

Thank you all, I've checked the card with a program called H2wtest from Germany. Turns out the card was a fake, only showed 3.8 gb free and the rest being a fake. Most reputable sellers can't tell the difference and for a while its safe to order from amazon.
