This may be a lost cause anyhow. I dropped my Nexus 4 into the toilet (clean water!!) today. I fished it out, was able to take the back off using instructions on YouTube.
The next step suggested was to remove the battery. I cannot get the two tiny Phillips screws out that hold the battery connector in. Supposedly, in the kit that I bought this afternoon, there is a #0 (which I have been told is the correct driver). The smallest screwdriver just doesn't "seat" properly. It feels like it is too big to grab the Phillips head.
In the past, when using a Phillips driver that didn't seat quite right, I have been able to tap (hard) on the driver's handle. That would often solve the problem. In this case, the driver head simply feels way too big. Whacking away at the tiny screw head on a plastic phone sounds like a disaster.
Can anyone confirm the correct size, and, if so, give me a reasonable source to buy one?
I intend to drop by both an eye doctor and an ear specialist tomorrow, assuming they have tiny tools and might help me out. But, I still need the correct tool if I am going to replace the battery with a new one.
While we are at it, has anyone successfully dried out a sunken Nexus 4 phone? It is in a bag of instant rice as we speak.
regards, and thanks Rich
