Protect Battery Automatic Toggle?

Is there a way to change this setting automatically on a schedule? I'd like to have it enabled for overnight, but disabled during the day. I forgot to set it last night and my battery charged to 100%.

There's no Bixby routine that will change that specific setting. There are some battery apps that may automatically stop charging at a pre-defined percentage.

OK. Is there any way to make a home screen shortcut to that setting? I remember back in the day you used to be able to make shortcuts to settings, but can't find that option in Widgets anymore. :-(

You can use Tasker to do this.

Is it proven that only charging to 85% will prolong battery life? Because you're already shortening the battery life by doing that.

That would be useful, because I only want to charge the phone to 85 percent when I charge it overnight.
