"Protect Your Device Now" notification

I'm getting a notification "Protect Your Device Now" and "Tap To Activate Security on Your Device".

Did anyone else get this notification? Is it from Verizon? Samsung? Neither? Bloatware? Should I install it?

The notification is so lousy and nondescript, I have to doubt the quality and function of the software.

Probably an app you installed causing it

Adware linked to a preinstalled app. Secure WiFI on Sprint does similar. Look at preinstalled but unactivated security apps.

I do see a "Security and Privacy" app in the Verizon folder. It's the only security app I see. Seriously? Who would trust Verizon to come up with a quality app? Not about to click on this notification.

That's one of the very first apps I disabled on my Verizon phone. It was called something different on my N4 but the same thing, basically.
