Proximity sensor active all the time?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and recently I've had this issue where the proximity sensor is active all the time. I could be on Facebook or another random daily used app and accidentally cover the sensor and it blacks my screen out. It's as if I'm active in a phonecall all the time. Does anybody know what causes this and how to fix it? TIA

Do you have lockscreen apps installed? For like lets say Gravity Screen?
