Proximity sensor not working since update

Hello Everyone,

The proximity sensor stopped working on my 5X the same day I upgraded to Nougat (via the OTA from VZW). When I'm on a call, the screen doesn't turn off, and my face pushes lots of buttons and ends calls. Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? It's becoming very irritating!!

Edit: I don't have a screen protector, and I have restarted the phone many times since the OTA upgrade.

Have you cleared the device cache since the update? Follow the steps provided here to clear cache via recovery: http://forums.androidcentral.com/nexus-5x/607313-how-clear-system-cache-5x.html#post4824074
