Earlier today my phone (16gb) had Phantom Touches occurring. After some research I found out that 2 amp chargers cause this. The error can be reproduced with a 2A charger plugged in.

***The issue is not caused by the screen***

Welcome to Android Central! That's interesting. I've always wondered if phantom touches can occur due to excessive electromagnetic fields generated by charging, which might cause those touches if things aren't shielded enough.

Earlier today whilst at a beach with no charger (not near water either) my screen started going crazy.

It is probably some software issue as it stopped when I rebooted the device. Very strange though. A device I've had for four days shouldn't do that.
