Pulled out battery before phone finished shutting down

I was shutting my phone off to change batteries. I was not paying attention, and I pulled the battery before the phone was completely shut off. Now it will force close most of the apps on my phone, cannot find the apps I placed on my SD card, and all my amazon appstore apps have issues because my appstore app keeps force closing.

I'm running stock Android 2.2. I wonder if the system was corrupted, but if so, how do I fix it? I haven't tried a factory reset yet because I suspect a software issue. Does anyone have any advice?

tokk out battery....

If what you've done so far does not cure, you'll have to do a hard reset.
After that, you can go to the Market and get back all your apps when you
look at your installed apps in MY APPS next to Settings. Good luck...

If you are running stock - I would have to agree with Michael. If you are rooted - try running FixPermissions in ROM Manager or in Recovery.

If you can, set up an appbrain account to sync your apps - then you'll have a good list of what you had - the market will remember your paid apps but not your free apps.

Let us know if you have any questions about the reset.

Sounds like journaling was not enabled. IF a device with this feature is disabled, and it does not shut down properly it can cause corruptoin in your data.

I did the reset, and everything seems to be working alright now. I had a little trouble getting my corporate email back, but otherwise I am back to normal. Thank you for your help!
