Hi everyone! I'm Henry, I'm from Colombia, and I'm new to the world of android and Android Central. Currently I have a Sony Xperia P and there are some games that I'd like to buy in the Play Store, but I'm not sure if I can buy them here. I don't have a credit card, I only have a debit card from my local bank and my carrier is Claro, so I'd like to know if someone knows if I can use my debit card or pay with my carrier to buy apps in Google Play. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much! :)

Hello Henry. You can absolutely use your debit card to pay. When you check out, you just submit your card information, and wa la. It will save the info for future purchases.

Woah, Claro is in Colombia too? That's what my grandma uses in Puerto Rico :-D

Anyway, you can definitely use a debit card. It's what I use since I don't have a credit card. Happy shopping!! :-)

Sent from my awesome Note 2!!!!!!! :-)

Thank you very much Jennifer! I'll give it a try, and as soon as I do it, I'll post my experience here, for future reference.
Nice quote by the way :)

Yup, Claro is Mr. Carlos Slim's cash cow. He has it spread in Latam. As far as I know, there is Claro in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and some countries in central America and the Caribbean.

Well, I tell you my experience. When I entered my debit card number and other data that was needed, I got an error like this "There was an error retrieving information from server ([RPC:S-7:AEC-0]). Any idea what could be happening? My debit card is visa. Maybe it has to do with the fact that the phone (in fact, it's my girlfriend's phone) has another google account (and different name)?
