Purchasing Nexus 7 from US Play Store fails with technical error

Hi,

I'm trying to purchase this tablet from the Play store but it keeps failing after hitting the "Buy" button. Setting shipping and billing info goes without a hitch, but as soon as I click Buy to finalize the purchase it gives me a temporary error:

"Sorry, we were unable to process this request. The order has been automatically cancelled and you will not be charged for the purchase. Please try again later."

I tried this from multiple computers, multiple browsers, clearing cookies, logging out and back in, even tried a different Google account and different addresses and credit cards. A friend of mine also tried separately from a different city and failed. It happens immediately after clicking Buy, it doesn't even have time to run any checks on the credit card.This has been going on for 3 days.

Anyone seen this before? I can't find any mention of complaints recent or in previous months. I'd imagine it would be a big issue with the tech blogs if noone could purchase the in stock tablet, yet I've seen nothing.
 
check your credit card. it could be expired or blocked.

or both are fine. do it tomorrow. if it still dont work call google.
