Pure / Style only showing 2528mb total ram

Hi All

I received my moto x style 32gb yesterday and when using cpu-z and Antutu the device is showing total ram as 2528mb.

Is there a logical explanation for this or is the device faulty? I bought the device from a reputable dealer (Clove) and it is advertised as 3gb ram.

Googling the subject returned nothing so I thought I might try my luck here.

Any help appreciated

I have my moto x style also from CLOVE, I just downloaded the program you mentioned to check it as well....

And you are right, it shows only 2528 RAM,

Would like to know why that is...

Vi testar Motorola Moto X Style - Swedroid

Here it shows 2528MB ram (The available amount RAM after the system has been loaded.)

So I guess that's the ram we have available... looks like it's suppose to be that way

Hey, me too. I would guess that it has something to do with the formatting capacity is less than advertised. Just like with phone internal memory

Thanks for the replies, at least I am not alone .... It does seem strange though, at first I thought the the GPU may take up the remaining but I don't know enough about the snapdragon SoC's, although that would still seem excessive.

I have emailed Clove, hopefully they'll have some explanation from Motorola or something.

In my opinion if the phone is shipped with 32gb and 3 gig of ram that is exactly what it should have! They all get away with doing this and it just shouldn't be allowed as it should be advertised as having 25gb of storage and not 32!

It's the same thing with a PC. The storage listed in the specs doesn't mention how much space Windows takes up.

The missing ram is allocated for video, just like a PC with integrated graphics on the motherboard (no ram on video card, so shares system ram). The reason it is higher than other devices is due to 1440p native display. A lot more pixels to manage.
