Purple spots (noise?) on Galaxy A50 when taking low light photos?

I bought Galaxy A50 the other day and when testing the camera yesterday I noticed some purple spots (noise?) in low-light photos that I took. They're mostly on the left side (when shooting horizontally) of the photos. Is this normal?

Welcome to the forums. That does look like noise, which is generated by the ISO (sensitivity) being turned way up. The only way around this would be to shoot in manual mode, keep the ISO setting low, and increase the exposure time. You'll need to steady the camera with something like a tripod to prevent blurring from camera shake. If your subject is moving, you'll then get motion blur. In these cases, the flash may be necessary.

Thank you for the reply. It's just that it's strange that the noise mostly appears on the left side. I also tried to take photos with a third-party camera app (the photo above was taken with the Samsung pre-installed camera app) but the noise was still there. Do you think it's how it should be when shooting at high ISO? (i.e. not a hardware defect or something?)

The right side of the photo was partly lit, which may have effectively hidden the noise. I would try taking a photo in complete darkness and see if the noise becomes uniform.
