Push notifications not working on text plus

I have a rooted Nook Color running Jelly Bean, 4.1.2

I like it and have installed GoLauncherHD for tablet and it runs great except for one thing. Since updating to Jelly Bean, I am no longer getting Notifications, (Push or otherwise) from Text Plus, and it's really irritating me. I have scoured my settings for something I'm missing and the internet to find a solution but have yet to find one. My "Push notifications" in text plus is checked off so it should work but it doesn't. I have unchecked and rechecked it many times in hopes of resetting it but to no avail... nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I love this launcher and system in every other way and want to keep using it but... :'(

I have the one x, textplus corrupted the software on my phone had to get a new one under warranty, at first i could not download anything, had to reset the phone multiple times, then simple things like the weather stopped working. now getting the same problem with my second one x, switching to haywire, ive been using text plus for past 4 years, very disappointing, an htc tech told me to stop using textplus but its so hard. hope you have better luck.
