Hello,
I haven an HTC U11 with Android Oreo (8.0). It's been a GREAT phone, and I've had it just about two years now. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my push notifications stopped coming in, so I rebooted my phone, and they started working again. Just thought it was an intermittent glitch.
A few days later, it happened again, so before I decided to reboot like last time, as a test, I turned off my WiFi, and now I was connected via my LTE. As soon as I did that, all of my push notifications started to come in, which means that the problem is only when I'm connected to WiFi. Just to be sure my WiFi internet connection itself was working, I turned it back on, and opened up a web page on my phone's browser, which it downloaded in lightning speed, so that confirmed that my connection itself was working properly. I then rebooted my phone while it still was connected to WiFi, and push notifications started working again.
It just happened again, and the only thing that fixed it was rebooting, so I decided to make this post. The bottom line is that problem only exists with my push notifications while I'm connected to WiFi, and the only thing that fixes it for the time being is a reboot. I appreciate any help on how to permanently correct this. Again, I've had this phone for almost two years now, but this is the first time I've had this issue. Thank you.
