Push Notifications

Can someone answer this? I have had the Pixel, Pixel 2 and Pixel 3A. I have never had another Android phone so cannot compare. I have been using iPhones since they were released on Verizon's network. The iPhone's push notifications work flawlessly. I alway receive delayed notifications or no notifications on the Pixel. Is that a Pixel issue or Android issue in general? That is the one thing that stops me from going all Android thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Delayed notifications for what? Email? Text messages?

I don't think I have ever experienced any delayed notifications on any Android phone I have ever owned, unless I was in a horrible reception area for a short time.

I have noticed a delay with a few apps, but not significant. These apps are not google apps, only one that comes to mind at the moment is Amazon Alexa app. The core Google apps have not had any delays.

Are you experiencing delays with messages and calls?
