"Put app to sleep," option greyed out?

Well, we were all warned the s10e's battery sucks.. and it does. So I'm trying to deal with it. I'm in the Battery window, going through each app, where I see a Put App To Sleep toggle button, but it is greyed out in every app. What gives?

UPDATE! NOT greyed out on every app. Just Samsung One UI Home, the single biggest battery hog on the device. Any workaround?

UPDATE! er, just realized what a dumb question this is. And don't know how to delete threads.

re: "Put app to sleep," option greyed out?

I get 2 days of battery life with my Exynos Galaxy S10e after putting all apps to sleep except for Gmail and Whatsapp, the rest of them I only need them to be working when I want to check them manually.

Also, don't forget to switch off NFC and Bluetooth if you don't use it from Settings > Connections

Finally, if you have Facebook installed, I suggest you disable it and use Metal which is much lighter on the battery and has built in chat support so you don't need to install the Facebook Messenger Separately to be able to chat with your Facebook friends.

No one has said the battery life sucks. The most negative I've heard is "average".
I get about six hours sot unless I play graphic intensive games and then it goes to about four. I get about an hour more than my note 8.

I've never seen one UI on any of my battery stats, can you screenshot yours so maybe we can help.

I have the same issue "greyed out". Go to settings > apps then choose any app then click Battery and then click "optimize battery usage". Now you click each app toggle button to optimize. Now you go back to "put app to sleep" and you can add the apps that you want to sleep.
