Putting a document (or shortcut to a doc) on my home page

I use a particular document that is on my SD card all of the time and would like to put a shortcut to that document on my home page. Is there a way to do that?

Download an application called Astro file manager. Next create a shortcut on your desktop for astro. Done with a long press. Asrto will open, navigate to your file and select it. Name the shortcut what you want and click ok. Done.

You can use ES file explorer with the bookmark manager add-on.
It will create a shortcut to that doc directly.
