putting movies on my tab?

When i rip a dvd where do i put it so i can find it? I cant find a movie file.......sorry im new to this stuff!

Samsung's Kies Program will put it where it needs to be automatically: sdcard\Videos. I believe there's also a movies folder, but Samsung's program puts them in the Videos directory.

Using the Gallery app should automatically find them if they're in the Videos folder. I haven't tried putting them anywhere else, so I'm not sure if it will find them anywhere. You can always use a free file manager app like Astro to browse your files/folders too.

If it's in the correct format that will play on the Tab, you can pretty much place the video in any directory you want (as long as it the directory name does not start with a .). In fact I just created a folder in the root directory of my Tablet called "Movies", put all my converted movies in that folder, opened up Gallery and it found all them without any issue. If the video is not in a supported format that the Tab can play it, it will not know what the file is and will not show it in the Gallery.
