I'm trying to build aosp for the Samsung fascinate. I cloned the cm device tree, aries-common tree, and kernel tree. I have all of the names in the makefiles edited correctly (to the best of my knowledge, anyhow), but every time I choose 'lunch' I get this error:
Build/core/product_config.mk:211:***no matches for product 'full_fascinatemtd'. Stop.

I've tried everything I can think of, but still no change. Does anyone have any ideas?

It sound you missing something for your phone or it's no info about it in makefile or some makefile is actully missing. I never compiled Android and when i google it seems to be Android makefile specific error so i'm not sure what to do, but i would search in that direction also re-check if i got everything and done it right.

It is also possible that instructions (if you use any )you using are outdated and have different "product" name then it is now

Instead of using the lunch command have you tried entering in the build command manually for the version your trying to build? I'm this case fascinatemtd ?

Lunch command is only going to working properly if all the other files are in place so you may have to try going manual instead of lunch.

Trust me I've built and synced cm and other developers repos enough times to at there is always things along the way you need to fix, find or replace.
