Hello all,

Please can someone help me?
Since yesterday my phone is not showing Emergency calls only when I light the screen up. When I unlock the phone I have a message telling me I have no service. Initially I only noticed that I had no mobile internet, but then realised that I could not even connect to Vodafone at all. So I have no service at all. I don't know what to do???

I took my phone to the Vodafone shop, where they put my sim card into another phone and it all worked fine, calls and internet. Then later it hit me that they didn't try another sim card in my phone, so I went back to them asking them to change my sim card all together as they had no spare nano sized sim cards. I got a new sim card but i still have the same problem as above.

I took my phone to the local Samsung service centre where they had a look at it. But all I got from them was to send it off to get repaired, so no real verdict at all.. bit disappointing. Samsung did however to a factory reset for me on my phone, again though all this did was wipe everything and the issue still remained.

Please can someone help me as I lovely phone which is about as good as a iPod :'(:'(:'(

Update
p.s. phone was locked to Vodafone UK, but i use the phone with Vodafone Hungary, still needed to get it unlocked (strange) well I paid to have it unlocked and it worked just fine.

Great that you solved it.
Probably a stupid "region lock" where even with same Company it was locked to specific Region OR specific part of Carrier.
I never would have guessed.
