I've complained about pentile's grainy text and bright sun viewing inadequacies, but these settings below come very close to eliminating the technology's short-commings while still providing the best battery-sipping experience around....at least until the miracle screen and/or battery tech arrives in 2015.
1. Increase the general OS font size.
(Display and Gestures in settings, and choose large or higher)
2. Replace the stock browser with Chrome from the Play store, then increase fonts to a larger size.
3. If you have any apps that use their own font and/or size, crank them up too.
Due to the pentile technology, kinda like font smoothing or dithering, small fonts just aren't rendered well and they also require your face to get closer to the pixels. Crank up the font size and push that phone back! Feel free to respond with any other eye relief tips.
