Qik for EVO now in the market!

Now it's there and it's so damn cool.

Go to the market search for "qik", it will install and replace what's there.

Too bad it doesn't do TWO WAY video chat...... been trying it all afternoon and we're only able to stream to one another - not two way...

I can't figure out how to do video chat from my evo to my wife's. It says I'm not connected to the Qik server, even though I'm logged in and everything. Is there something special int he settings I have to set? I've tried everything it seems. :/

Worked here.. My brother was on WiFi and I was on 3G and he called me. The lag is somewhat noticeable but it was still pretty neat

Looking forward to hearing more reviews. Still debating EVO vs iPhone. This was my most awaited feature and so far it's been a complete fail (botched launch, varying reports of quality, server issues, premium fees, etc).

Another thing I wanted to get cleared up is:

-If you are video chatting with someone does it have to stay on Public? Which would mean everyone can see who and what you're chatting about, right?
-Is there a way to privately chat using qik? And can you do it Mobile to Comp?

I just tested out Fring using 2 Skype accounts and liked it. The quality isn't too good but hey 1.3mp cameras are like using Skytell cell phones. there was a half second of lag but sound was good and everything worked well.
