Qik video chat not working right

My brother just got the mytouch4G from t-mobile and I have the HTC EVO and we tried to do Qik video chat, but are having issues. He calls me and I can see him and hear him, but he can only see me, he can't hear me at all.

moreover, the quality isn't good at all...we are both on pretty fast wi-fi hookups and it is very choppy and delayed.

I am wondering if I should get the regular Qik app?? cause I have the QIk for HTC EVO app, and that might be a problem, idk?

Just trying to sort the issues, cause we should be able to see each other clearly and hear each other, we are both on around 6 mpbs down connections, which should be more than enough.
 
6mbps down means absolutely nothing, it's the upload speed you need to be concerned about. It's highly likely your upload speed is just not that great.

That said, not sure why you wouldn't hear anything. Make sure you have the latest update to Qik from the market.
 
Did you update to the most recent version? The first version had a push-to-talk button for the receiver.... Wifey and I thought there was a problem, but she hadn't noticed the button. The second version did away with that "feature".

I just tried tango, and it works great...I guess it is an issue with Qik, cause I updated my software to the most recent version.
